What a great image, David! Wonderful composition, interesting elements, and moody lighting. Love the steam billowing in front of the engine and how it blends in with the snow in the scene. The lighting gives off a feeling of mystery and extreme cold.

Thank you very much Carolyn. I had wanted to picture a steam train in snow for some time, but as winters tend to be fairly mild (or just wet!) in UK there are nor many opportunities. Fortunately this was a rare snowy freezing day.
