Port Isaac is a small, historic fishing village on the Atlantic coast of north Cornwall, England. The pretty and quaint village is frequently used as a filming location, most notably for the popular and long-running television series "Doc Martin", when the village masquerades as the fictional "Portwenn".

Originally from Manchester in England, but now live near the foot of the Pennines, regarded as one of the most scenic areas of outstanding natural beauty in Great Britain. It's a great place to live for a photographer, but as you can see from my galleries I like to venture further afield occasionally. I have been a photographer for over 30 years, and always remember the best piece of photographic advice I was given. Some years ago I worked with a very elderley and wise photographer and he said to me on one occasion "you are looking but not seeing".
