The Hung Drawn and Quartered pub stands on the edge of London's "square mile" business district. The name is a reminder of the often gruesome history of London, and a plaque on the wall in the words of writer Samuel Pepys describes an execution at Charing Cross, the unfortunate victim being dispatched in the manner from which the pub takes it's name.
Originally from Manchester in England, but now live near the foot of the Pennines, regarded as one of the most scenic areas of outstanding natural beauty in Great Britain. It's a great place to live for a photographer, but as you can see from my galleries I like to venture further afield occasionally. I have been a photographer for over 30 years, and always remember the best piece of photographic advice I was given. Some years ago I worked with a very elderley and wise photographer and he said to me on one occasion "you are looking but not seeing".
