Preserved steam locomotive 34092 City Of Wells carrying Golden Arrow insignia and headboard, arriving at Bury Bolton Street station, on the East Lancashire Railway heritage line in England.
34092 is a Bulleid Pacific class locomotive, and in the days of steam this class of locomotive would regularly haul the prestigious Golden Arrow service from London to the Kent coast.
Originally from Manchester in England, but now live near the foot of the Pennines, regarded as one of the most scenic areas of outstanding natural beauty in Great Britain. It's a great place to live for a photographer, but as you can see from my galleries I like to venture further afield occasionally. I have been a photographer for over 30 years, and always remember the best piece of photographic advice I was given. Some years ago I worked with a very elderley and wise photographer and he said to me on one occasion "you are looking but not seeing".
