Watergrove Reservoir sits high in the Pennine hills in England, close to Wardle village, and very close to the border of the counties of Lancashire and Yorkshire. The reservoir was created out of necessity in the 1930s on the site of the old Watergrove village, following severe drought issues in the area. The woodland around the reservoir now forms a well known beauty spot and nature reserve.
Originally from Manchester in England, but now live near the foot of the Pennines, regarded as one of the most scenic areas of outstanding natural beauty in Great Britain. It's a great place to live for a photographer, but as you can see from my galleries I like to venture further afield occasionally. I have been a photographer for over 30 years, and always remember the best piece of photographic advice I was given. Some years ago I worked with a very elderley and wise photographer and he said to me on one occasion "you are looking but not seeing".
