Looking down 580m (1,903ft) from the viewing platform at Cabo Girao. This is Madeira's highest sea cliff, which claims to be the second highest in the world. At the bottom are the neat terraces of crops cultivated by local farmers.

Thank you Donna for the v/f. If this is the world's second highest sea cliff not sure I would like to stand on top of the highest. A very dizzying experience !

Thank you Marcia. There is actually a GLASS viewing platform which I stood on to take this picture, and below your feet you can see the 1.903ft drop! I'm not good with heights so it was a bit of a challenge for me.
