Stollmeyer's Castle is one of the group of colonial style building in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, which are referred to as the "magnificent seven". The building currently stands boarded up and in need of substantial restoration. Textured for effect.

Another spectacularly spooky place, some of these photos could easily be used for a book cover for haunted places or scary stories. (: There is something so beautiful about these abandoned old places.

Much talk is spent today advising photographers to take, sharp, crisp images. Impact, punch, pop out the details. And in all this is lost the subtle, romantic beauty of the old photos where the lenses were a little soft. You captured the old-world mood in this photo. You also reminded me to not go overboard on all the advice we hear out there.
