Wonderful b/w of a lighthouse! l/f

David Birchall replied:

Thank you very much Marcia. The light was very dull and flat when I took this image so I played around with it to try and bring it to life, I think this works well. Thank you for your comments.

Thank you very much Carolyn for your visit and comments. The lighting was very flat and uninspiring when I visited so I played around with the image for a while and this was the result.

Love the treatment you did on this, David! I have also visited this lighthouse and found the lighting can be tricky for making a nice photo. You have certainly succeeded with this image! Your black and white treatment really highlights all of the great textures and elements in this scene. Frame works great too. :) L/F

About David Birchall

David Birchall

Originally from Manchester in England, but now live near the foot of the Pennines, regarded as one of the most scenic areas of outstanding natural beauty in Great Britain.
