Description
Preserved steam locomotive 70013 Oliver Cromwell arriving at Quorn and Woodhouse station on the Great Central Railway heritage line in Leicestershire, England.
70013 was assured of it's place in railway preservation history when it became the last steam locomotive to receive major overhaul at Crewe works, and was one of four surviving steam locomotives rostered to run the last scheduled main line steam hauled passenger train on British Railways, on 11th August 1968.
This train became known as the "15 guinea special", because of the (then) high ticket price, and ran from Liverpool via Manchester to Carlisle and back. 70013 hauled the train from Manchester to Carlisle.
