New build steam locomotive 2999 Lady Of Legend was introduced into service in 2019, and is a based on a class of locomotives built by the Great Western Railway in the early 20th century, known as "The Saint" class. The last locomotive in the class was numbered 2998 so the new build has been numbered 2999 to continue the numeric sequence. She is seen here approaching Irwell Vale Halt on the East Lancashire Railway heritage line.
Originally from Manchester in England, but now live near the foot of the Pennines, regarded as one of the most scenic areas of outstanding natural beauty in Great Britain.
