Description
The railway station at Quorn and Woodhouse on the Great Central heritage railway in Leicestershire, England, is permanently set up on the theme of a 1940's wartime railway station. Tucked away at the end of one of the platforms is this stunning replica of a 1940's kitchen and tearoom, complete with open grate fire, and very large items of ladies underwear hung up to dry. It still functions as a NAAFI tea room, and I had a very nice cup of tea and biscuits as I took this picture.

Nice one! I was fascinated by the waiting room which I visited about 10 years ago. Nobody around, but an inviting coal fire burning on a cold day, wonderful piece of nostalgia!
David Birchall replied:
Thanks David. This really is a great place to sit and have a cup of tea on a cold day, probably one of the best period recreations I have seen anywhere. The large ladies bloomers and corsets hung up in the kitchen area reminded me of visits to my gran's house when I was a child, that's exactly what she used to do!
